  1. Start the Process of Downloading and Mounting the VMWare Tools CD with:
    • On VMWare Fusion

      Virtual Machine > Install VMWare Tools

    • On VMWare Workstation

      VM > Install VMWare Tools

    May be you will need to Wait Until VMWare has Provided to Downloading and Mounting the VMWare Tools CD.
    If after Download the Window with the VMWare Tools Do Not Appear you will Need to Manually Disconnect the CD/DVD in:
    Virtual Machines > CD/DVD(IDE) > Disconnect CD/DVD
    and after Re-Starting the VMWare Tools Installation…

  2. Extract Into /tmp Directory

  3. Open a Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands):

  4. Install some Prerequisite Stuff

    Login as SuperUser

    su 

    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then Look: Solution
    Install Needed Packages

    yum install gcc make
  5. Install the Kernel Headers

    Update the Kernel

    yum update kernel
    reboot
    Then Check if your Fedora Release have a href=”PAE” kernel:
    uname -r

    If the output don’t contains the keyword “PAE” you can follow this tutorial…

    yum install kernel-headers kernel-devel

    After you can Check that your Kernel Headers has been Effectively Installed by:

    ls /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/build/include

    You should Get an Output like this here below:

    acpi     crypto   Kbuild math-emu mtd   rdma  sound  video
    asm-generic drm keys media net rxrpc target xen
    config generated linux misc pcmcia scsi trace

    This Should Mean your System is Ready for Successfull Installation of VMWare Tools :)

  6. VMWare Tools Installation:
    • Access the Target Directory
      cd /tmp/vmware*
    • To Get Enabled the Shared Folders Apply Patch:

      VMWare-Tools Patch
    • Execute Installation Script

      Start VMWare Tools Installation

      ./vmware-install.pl

      Follow to Accept All the Default Proposed Settings

      Eventually Answer “Yes” to Enable Load New Kernel Modules at Boot.

    After a little while the installation should complete successfully :)

    But if Instead you Get: Execution aborted
