  1. Download Oracle Java SE JDK 7:

    JDK 7 i586.tar.gz
  2. Find and Double-Click on the tar.gz Archive

    Extract it Into the /tmp Folder.

  3. Open a Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

    sudo su

    if [ ! -d "/usr/lib/jvm" ]; then mkdir /usr/lib/jvm; fi

    sudo chown -R root:root /tmp/jdk1.7*

    chmod -R +x /tmp/jdk1.7*/bin

    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.<X.Y_uZ>
