  1. Download Firefox Nightly for Linux:

    Firefox 33 x86_64 tar.bz2
  2. Double-Click on the Archive and Extract Firefox into /tmp Directory

  3. Open Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

  4. Relocate Firefox

    Login as SuperUser

    su 
    mkdir -p /opt/firefox

    Move the Firefox-Nightly Directory

    chown -R root:root /tmp/firefox && mv /tmp/firefox /opt/firefox/nightly

    Adding Nightly to the System Path by a Symlink

    ln -s /opt/firefox/nightly/firefox /usr/bin/firefox-nightly

    Next you Can Start Firefox Nightly from Terminal Simply with

    firefox-nightly
  5. Create a Nightly Launcher for Easy-Starting:
