The Article Simply Shows How-to Install Nevernote the Evernote Linux Clone 64bit on PCLinuxOS 2012 64bit KDE4 Desktop.

Following the Easiest and Practicable Way I have Expressly Reduced to the Minimum the Use of Terminal Commands.

Evernote Magic-Mandriva Evernote
  1. Open a Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

    Kickoff >> More Applications >> Terminals >> Konsole

    PCLinuxOS Kde Open Terminal

  2. Install the Prerequisites Packages
    su 

    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then Look: Solution

    apt-get install gcc make
  3. Check if Java is Installed
    which java

    If Java JDK is Not Installed then:

    Oracle JDK for PCLinuxOS
  4. Download the Evernote Clone tar.gz Current Release

    Evernote Linux Clone tar.gz
  5. Eventually Double-Click on Archive and Extract into /tmpMageia KDE4 Extract Nixnote Evernote Linux Clone
  6. Install the Evernote for Mageia Linux
    cd /[path/to]nixnote*
    ./install.sh

    All Should Works Like a Summer Breeze :)

  7. Edit the Desktop Launcher Categories
    nano /usr/share/applications/nixnote.desktop

    Due To Desktop Stucture to Get Loaded the Default Launcher Into Internet the Categories Need to Be Set Like:

    GTK;Network;WebBrowser;X-MandrivaLinux-Internet-WebBrowsers;X-MandrivaLinux-CrossDesktop;

    Install Evernote on PCLinuxOS 2012 KDE4 Desktop Launcher
