  1. Download Firefox Beta for Linux:

  2. Open File-Manager:

    Right-Click on Desktop > File Manager

  3. Click on Firefox Package and Extract Into /tmp

  4. Open a Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands):

    Right-Click on Desktop > Terminal

  5. Relocate Firefox Directory

    Login as SuperUser

    sudo su

    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then Look: Solution

    Make a Firefox Directory

    mkdir /opt/firefox

    Move Firefox Into Beta so to Prepare for a Possible Firefox Multi-Version Coexistence.

    chown -R root:root /tmp/firefox && mv /tmp/firefox /opt/firefox/firefox-beta

    Make a firefox-beta Symlink for Easy-Starting

    ln -s /opt/firefox/firefox-beta/firefox /usr/local/bin/firefox-beta

    Next you Can Start Firefox from Terminal with

    firefox-beta
  6. Starting Firefox-Beta from Desktop:

    Right-Click on Desktop > Run Application
