  1. Download ActivePerl 32/64bit Linux Release:

    Latest ActivePerl 5.x for Linux
  2. Right-Click > Open with XArchiver

    Then Extract into /tmp

    Xfce/Lxde Desktop ActivePerl Extraction
  3. Open Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands):

    1. Login as SuperUSer
      sudo su

      If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then Look: Solution

    2. Change to ActivePerl Directory
      cd /tmp/ActivePerl*
    3. Run Installation Script
      ./install.sh

      If Needed Set Install Directory Location

      Example: /opt/ActivePerl-5-X

    4. PATH SetUp
      exit
      nano ~/.bashrc

      Insert:

      export PATH=/opt/ActivePerl-5.*/bin:$PATH

      Ctrl+x to Save & Exit

      Load Setting:

      source ~/.bashrc
