  5. Relocating Eclipse

    chown -R root:root /tmp/eclipse && mv /tmp/eclipse /opt/
  6. Starting Eclipse from Terminal

    Making a Symlink

    ln -s /opt/eclipse/eclipse /usr/local/bin/eclipse

    After you can Start Eclipse from Terminal simply with:

    eclipse
