Hello CentOS User! This Tutorial Shows You Step-by-Step How-to Install uTorrent on CentOS 6 32/64bit GNU/Linux Desktop.

How-to Install uTorrent on CentOS 6 Linux - Featured
  1. First Open Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

  2. Download uTorrent Client+Server for Debian 6:

    uTorrent Debian tar.gz 32/64bit
  3. Double-Click on Archive and Extract uTorrent into /tmp

    Or from Command Line:

    tar xvzf utserver.tar.gz -C /tmp/
  4. So to Extract uTorrent Web GUI

    cd /tmp/utorrent* && unzip ./webui.zip
  5. Then Relocate uTorrent
    To Login as Superuser (just to make following comands shorter):

    su 

    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then Look: Solution

    chown -R root:root /tmp/utorrent*
    mv /tmp/utorrent* /opt/utorrent
  6. And Install Required OpenSSL:

    yum install openssl098e

    Make the needed symlinks with:

    ln -s /usr/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.8e /usr/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.8
    ln -s /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so.0.9.8e /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so.0.9.8
  7. After Start uTorrent
    First achieve Superuser session:

    exit

    Access the target directory:

    cd /opt/utorrent && sudo ./utserver

    Just Forget the Error Message about “no version information available”…

  8. uTorrent WebGui Connection on Browser (Tested on Chrome)

    Finally access the Connection on:

    localhost:8080/gui

    The Default Login is:

    user name: ‘admin’

    pass: ”
