Double-Click/Right-Click on Archive and Extract SmartGit into /tmp
Or from Command Line:
tar xvzf $HOME/Downloads/smartgit*.tar.gz -C /tmp/
Installing SmartGit Client on Fedora
Set the SuperUser as Owner:
su -c "chown -R root:root /tmp/smartgit"
su -c "mv /tmp/smartgit /opt/"
Make a Symlink for Easier Launching:
su -c "ln -s /opt/smartgit/bin/smartgit.sh /usr/local/bin/smartgit"
