Hello Ubuntu User! This Tutorial Shows You Step-by-Step How-to Install and Getting-Started with the JetBrains WebStorm IDE for JavaScript, Node.js, Angular.js, Meteor, TypeScript, CoffeeScript, Dart, SASS, CSS and HTML Development on Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety Yak i386/amd64 GNU+Linux Desktop.

WebStorm is a lightweight yet powerful IDE, perfectly equipped for complex client-side development and server-side development with Node.js.

The only Requirement for the WebStorm IDE Installation on Ubuntu Linux is the Java Oracle JRE 6+ or the OpenJDK 7+.

  1. Download Latest WebStorm 30 day Trial Installer:

    WebStorm for Linux
  2. Open a Shell Terminal emulator window
    Ctr+Alt+t on Desktop
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)
