The Tip Show How to Change/Increase/Resize the Temporary Space Size of the /tmp Directory on Gentoo Based Linux Distros.

In Essence the Procedure Consist in Editing the fstab System File and Simply Rebooting the System

  1. Open a Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)
    Linux Debian Gnome 3 Open Terminal
  2. Edit the fstab File
    su -c "nano /etc/fstab"

    Change the Size Reserved to the Temporary File System.

  3. After Reboot Check the New tmps Size
    df -h
