Install Latest Skype 8.x on Deepin Linux - Featured
  1. Open a Terminal Shell Emulator
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

  2. Download Latest Skype 8.x for Debian Linux:

    Skype 8.x for Debian .deb
  3. Checking/Installing GDebi Package Installer

    which gdebi

    If Not there then:

    sudo apt-get install gdebi

    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then Look: Solution

  4. Access the Target location
    (Usually Downloads go in the Home folder or the Temporary directory /tmp)

    cd ~/Downloads

    Or when downloaded with Firefox maybe:

    cd /tmp/mozilla*

    To Verify that it’s there List the contents with:

    ls .
  5. Installing Skype

    sudo gdebi ./skype*.deb
