Open a Shell Terminal emulator window
Ctrl+Alt+t on desktop
(Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)
Download Telegram Messenger App for LinuxTelegram App 32/64-bit .tar.xz Linux
Double-Click on Telegram Archive and Extract into /tmp.
Or from Command Line:
tar xvf ~/Downloads/tsetup*.tar.xz -C /tmp/

Installing Telegram App
(In case you do not have Administrator Privileges install it into Home…)
sudo mv /tmp/Telegram* /opt/
If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo
sudo ln -s /opt/Telegram/Telegram /usr/local/bin/Telegram
For this System-Wide Setup then Set Ownership with:
sudo chown -R root:root /opt/Telegram
