Brother Printer HL-1430/HL-1440 Quick-Start for Fedora
Hello Fedora User! This Tutorial Shows You Step-by-Step How-to Install the Brother HL-1430/HL-1440 Printer Drivers for Fedora 32/64bit GNU/Linux Desktops.
Brother has predisposed a Printers Driver Installer for Linux that will Provide Automatically to Download and Install the needed Dependencies.
Open a Shell Terminal emulator window
(Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)
Download the Brother Printer HL-1430/HL-1440 Drivers Installer for Fedora:Brother Printer .gz Installer
Access the Target location
(Usually Downloads go in the Home folder or the Temporary directory /tmp)
Or when downloaded with Firefox maybe:
To Verify that it’s there List the contents with:
Double-Click on Archive Extract into /tmp
Or from Command Line:
gunzip -c $HOME/Downloads/linux-brprinter-installer*.gz > /tmp/linux-brprinter-installer
Give Execution Permission
sudo chmod +x linux-brprinter-installer*
If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then Look: Solution
Installing Brother Printer Drivers
When Prompted Insert Your Brother Printer Model!
Then the Installer will Provide Automatically to Download and Install the Printer and eventually also the Scanner Drivers…
When prompted about a Device URI:
- For USB Simply Enter “n”!
For a Network Shared Connection Setup Go to:
Select the Printer
Select “Modify Printer”
Enter Your sudo User Name & Pass
Select the Protocol and Continue…
