1. First, Open a Shell Terminal emulator window
   Ctrl+Alt+t on desktop
   (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

   

   In case first see: Terminal QuickStart Guide.

2. Then Install Required Packages

sudo apt-get install libxml2 libglade2-0 libpng3 libtiff5

3. Download Canon MG3029 Printer Linux Driver

   Canon MG3029 .deb Driver

   Canon MG3029 Drivers

   Select the MG3010 Series Printers .deb Driver.

4. Next Open a File Manager Window
   Go to Home > Downloads

   

5. Again Double-Click on Printer Driver.

   

6. And Extract into the /tmp Directory.

   

7. So to Install Canon MG3029 Printer Driver
   Access the Target location:

   cd /tmp/cnijfilter*

   Run the Installation script:

   sudo ./install.sh

   You could be asked to Connect and Turn On the Printer…

   Now in case of Issue then try first to execute:

   cd packages

   And then for 64-bit Systems:

   sudo apt install ./*amd64.deb

   Instead on 32-bit:

   sudo apt install ./*i386.deb

8. Finally, Go on System Settings to Add Printer
   And the Printer will be Recognized and Installed
