Install Canon I-Sensys Debian 9 - Featured
  1. Open a Shell Terminal emulator window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

    Install Canon I-Sensys Debian 9 - Debian Gnome3 Open Terminal
  2. Download Canon I-SENSYS Debian Drivers:

    Canon I-SENSYS Deb 32/64-bit Driver

    Search for your Canon I-Sensys Printer Model.
    Get preferably the CQue Driver elsewhere the UFRII one.

  3. If Needed Double-Click & Open with Archive Manager
    Then Extract into the /tmp directory:

    Install Canon I-Sensys Debian 9 - File Manager
  4. Follow Checking/Installing GDebi Package Installer:

    which gdebi

    If Not there then:

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt install gdebi

    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then Look: Solution

  5. Install Canon i-SENSYS CQue/UFRII Driver

    If found CQue Driver for your printer then:

    sudo gdebi ~/Downloads/CQue*.deb

    Else for UFRII:
    First change to the Target Directory:

    For 32bit Systems:

    cd /tmp/*/32-bit*/Debian

    For 64-bit Systems:

    cd /tmp/*/64-bit*/Debian

    And Finally Install UFRII with:

    sudo gdebi ./*.deb
  6. Again Install/Update CUPS Package

    sudo apt-get install cups

    And if Freshly installed it need also to Started with:

    sudo service cups start
  7. Finally Go on System Settings to Add Printer
    And the Printer should be Recognized and Installed.
