Installing Driver+Software

  1. 2. Downloading

    Download Epson Image Scan Driver & Software for GNU/Linux

    Search “MY-MODEL” (Eg.:WF-3640) and Linux
  2. 3. Extracting

    Next Extract Image Scan Bundle into /tmp
    Possibly Double-Click/Right-Click on Archive and Open with Archive Manager:

    Or from Shell:

    tar xvzf ./*scan*.deb.tar.gz -C /tmp/
  3. 4. Installing Dependencies

    Now Install the Software Dependencies.

    sudo apt install xsltproc

    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo

  4. 5. Installing Image Scan

    Then Install iScan/imageScan Software for Ubuntu
    Change to the software Location:

    cd /tmp/*scan*

    Then Run the Installer:

    sudo ./install.sh
