2. 2. Downloading Epson Scanner Driver

   Download Epson Image Scan Driver & Software for GNU/Linux

   Search “MY-MODEL” (Eg.:WF-3640) and Linux

   imageScan Software for Linux

   Grab the Debian Release!

3. 3. Extracting Epson Scanner Driver

   Extract Image Scan Bundle
   Possibly Double-Click on Archive in File Manager and Extract into /tmp:

   

   Or from Shell:

   tar xvzf ./*scan*.deb.tar.gz -C /tmp/

4. 4. Installing Dependencies

   Install the Software Dependencies
   Simply play:

   sudo apt-get install xsltproc

   Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
   If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.

5. 5. Installing Epson Scanner Driver

   Then Install imageScan Software for Linux
   Change to the software Location with:

   cd /tmp/iscan*

   Then Run the Installer:

   sudo ./install.sh
