Step-by-step – AMD Drivers Installation in MX Linux

Installing

  1. 2. Installing AMD Radeon Open Source Drivers

    Then to Install AMDGPU Open Source Graphics and GPU Driver in MX
    First, you are strongly Recommended to Upgrade your System with:

    sudo apt upgrade

    In this case then Reboot:

    sudo reboot

    And to Setup the Amdgpu Driver run:

    sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu ricks-amdgpu-utils

    The Command includes also the Utilities for adjustment and monitoring.
    And for the Legacy ATI Cards possibly:

    sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-ati ricks-amdgpu-utils

    Last, to load it Reboot:

    sudo reboot
