Installing

  1. 2. Pre-Installation Testing

Then Verify on CUDA Capable GPU.

    lspci | grep -i nvidia

But if you do Not see any NVIDIA hardware on Output then first install:

    sudo update-pciids

    Then try Again…

  2. 3. Installing Kernel Headers

    Next Install Pop!_OS’s Kernel Headers.

    sudo apt install linux-headers-$(uname -r)

If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.

  3. 4. Setting Up CUDA Repo

See How Setup CUDA 11 Repository for Pop!_OS Linux

    CUDA Repository Setup
  4. 5. Installing CUDA 11

Finally, Install CUDA 11 Toolkit in Pop!_OS Linux
To search for the Available releases:

sudo apt search cuda | grep 11

So for instance, to install the complete CUDA 11.6 Release play:

    sudo apt install cuda-11-6

Where for the CUDA 11.6 Driver only:

    sudo apt install cuda-toolkit-11-6
  5. 6. Setting Up Path

    Again Setup PATH Env Variable.
This is necessary to Find the Binaries on System:

    echo 'export PATH=/usr/local/cuda-11.8/bin${PATH:+:${PATH}}' >> $HOME/.bashrc

Possibly Amend the 11.8 with the Actual Version
    And Reload Configuration simply with:

    bash
