Installing Driver

  1. 2. Downloading Canon PIXMA Printer Driver

    Download Canon Printers Linux Deepin Drivers

    Canon Printers .deb Driver

    Possibly Search for “linux [myCanonModRounded]”
    You may need to Round Down the Printer Model Number as here below…
    Eg: for ‘mx472’ search for “linux Deepin470”
    And for ‘MG2240’ search for “linux MG2200”

  2. 3. Extracting Canon PIXMA Printer Driver

    Then Extract into the /tmp Directory
    If needed Double-Click/Right-Click and Open with Archive Manager:

  3. 4. Installing Canon PIXMA Printer Driver

    Finally, to Install Canon PIXMA Printer Driver on Deepin
    Access the Target location:

    cd /tmp/cnijfilter*

    Run the Installation script:

    sudo ./install.sh

    During installation you may be Asked to Connect & Power On your Printer…

    Now in case of Issue then try first to Install the Packages:

    cd packages

    Then on 64-bit Systems:

    sudo gdebi ./*amd64.deb

    Instead for 32-bit Systems:

    sudo gdebi ./*i386.deb
