Step-by-step – Canon ImageCLASS Printer CentOS 8.x/Stream-8 Installation

Installing Driver

  1. 2. Downloading Driver

    Download Canon imageCLASS Printers Linux Drivers

    Canon Printers CQue/UFRII .rpm Driver

    Possibly Search for a Same Series Model
    Eg: for MF218 a MF211 will Works the Same!
    Get preferably the CQue elsewhere the UFRII.

  2. 3. Installing Driver

    Finally, to Install Canon imageCLASS CentOS Driver
    Possibly Double-Click/Right-Click & Open with Archive Manager
    And then Extract it into the /tmp directory:

    Next Change to the Target
    For 8-bit Systems:

    cd /tmp/uk_eng/32-bit*/RPM

    And for 64-bit:

    cd /tmp/uk_eng/64-bit*/RPM

    Now to Install the Packages:

    sudo dnf install ./*.rpm

    Finally, to Setup the Driver execute the Script:

    cd /tmp/uk_eng/
    sudo ./install.sh
