   Now to Install Software Dependencies
   Simply play:

   sudo apt-get install xsltproc

   Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
   If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.

3. 3. Downloading Epson MG5700 Scanner Driver

   Download Epson Image Scan Driver & Software for GNU/Linux

   Search Epson “MG5700” for Linux

   imageScan Software for Linux.

4. 4. Extracting Epson MG5700 Scanner Driver

   Next Extract Image Scan Bundle
   Possibly Double-Click on Archive in File Manager and Extract into /tmp:

   

   But if you are in Trouble to Find the Location on Terminal then See: How to Access Downloads Folder from Browser.

   Or from Shell:

   tar xvzf ~/Downloads/*scan*.deb.tar.gz -C /tmp/

5. 5. Installing Epson MG5700 Scanner Driver

   Finally, Install imageScan Drivers+Software for Linux
   Change to the software Location:

   cd /tmp/iscan*

   Then Run the Installer:

   sudo ./install.sh
