Hi! The Tutorial shows you Step-by-Step How to Install VMware Tools in Slackware 15.0 GNU/Linux Desktop.
As of Sept 2015, VMware Recommends using the distribution-specific open-vm-tools instead of the VMware Tools package for guest machines.
But now the Open VM Tools are Not still Available for Slackware 15.0 so here instead we proceed to the Proprietary VWare Tools Installation.
You need to know that the VMWare Tools Installed and Working will Grant you a More Pleasant Journey with Slackware on the VMware Virtual Machine.
With the VMWare Tools Installed you Can Custom Easy-Resizing the Screen Just Dragging and More your Guest will Dispose Also of Shared Folders to Easy Exchanging Files with the Host System!
1. Mounting VMware Tools
So now to Mount VMware Tools CdRom
“VM” >> “Install VMware Tools“
On Workstation choose:
Next the CD should available on File Manager:
(Here on the KDE Plasma 5 Dolphin)
Choose the “VMware Tools” on the Lower-Left:
