Viber Deepin Linux Installation – Step-by-step

2. 2. Downloading Viber

   Download Viber Installer for Deepin

   Viber .deb 64-bit Package

   Viber for Deepin.

3. 3. Installing GDebi

   Then Check/Install GDebi Package Installer.

   which gdebi

   If Not there (No Output) then:

   sudo apt install gdebi gdebi-core

   Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
   If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.

4. 4. Installing Viber

   Then to Install Viber for Deepin
   Simply run:

   sudo gdebi ~/Downloads/viber.deb

   But when downloaded with Firefox it may be instead:

   sudo gdebi /tmp/mozilla*/viber.deb

   (Optional) Making a Viber Symlink to Launch it from Terminal:

   sudo ln -s /opt/viber/Viber /usr/local/bin/viber
