Installing Printer

  1. 3. Installing Canon MG4220/MG4240/MG4250 Driver

    Then to Install Canon MG4220/MG4240/MG4250 Driver in Manjaro
    I include here the most used cnijfilter2 3.80 Alternatives:

    yay -S --noconfirm cnijfilter-mg4200

    And as a possible alternative:

    yay -S --noconfirm cnijfilter-common-mg5400

    Or again:

    yay -S --noconfirm cnijfilter-mg6300

    Finally, for a Setup including also the Scanner Driver you may try instead:

    yay -S --noconfirm canon-pixma-mp230-complete
    yay -S --noconfirm canon-pixma-mg6300-complete
    yay -S --noconfirm canon-pixma-mg2200-complete

    On Prompt try simply to Hit “Enter” and follow with the Default Choices.
    The Command may vary over Time…
    But in case of any Issue and for further insight search: AUR cnijfilter2 3.80.

  2. 4. Launching Printers App

    Then Run Printing Manager
    Here for Xfce Desktop:

  3. 5. Adding Printer

    First Select the ‘Administration’ Tab:

    Admin

    Choose ‘Add Printer’ or ‘Find Printers’:

    And Follow the Wizard…

    Then Browse to “Install PPD File” Driver.
