Install Canon MG3640 Scanner Driver on Ubuntu 15.10 Wily - Featured
  1. Open Terminal Shell emulator window
    Ctrl+Alt+t on desktop
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

  2. Download Canon MG3640 Scanner Linux Driver:

    Get Canon MG3640 .deb 32/64bit Driver

    cd /tmp/scangearmp-*-deb/packages

    For 32bit Systems:

    sudo gdebi ./*i386.deb

    For 64bit Systems:

    sudo gdebi ./*amd64.deb
  8. Installing Canon Scanner Driver
  9. cd /tmp/scangearmp-*-deb
    sudo su -c "./install.sh"
