Hello Kubuntu User! This Tutorial Shows You Step-by-Step How-to Install and Getting-Started with SageMath Software on Kubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus LTS i386/amd64 GNU+Linux Desktop.

SageMath is the built out of nearly 100 Open-Source Packages and Features a unified interface.
Creating a viable free Open Source Alternative to Magma, Maple, Mathematica and Matlab.

SageMath can be used to study elementary and advanced, pure and applied Mathematics.

This includes a huge range of mathematics, including basic algebra, calculus, elementary to very advanced number theory, cryptography,
numerical computation, commutative algebra, group theory, combinatorics, graph theory, exact linear algebra and much more.

QuickStart SageMath Kubuntu 16.04 Xenial Linux - Featured
  1. Open a Shell Terminal emulator window
    Start Typing ‘term’ on Desktop.
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

    Getting-Started with SageMath on Kubuntu 16.04 Xenial -  Kde5 Open  Terminal
  2. Enable the SageMath Kubuntu PPA Repository:

  3. Installing SageMath for Kubuntu

    sudo apt install sagemath-upstream-binary
  4. Launch SageMath from Desktop
    And Access the SageMath Notebook Web UI on Browser at:

    http://localhost:8080
