  1. Download Apache Maven 3:

    Maven3 bin.tar.gz for Linux
  2. Double-Click on Archive and Extract Maven3 Binaries into /tmpDebian Lxde Extract Apache Maven
  3. Open a Root Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands) Debian Lxde Open Root Terminal
  4. Relocate Maven3 Binaries
    mv /tmp/apache-maven-3* /opt
  5. Check if Java is Installed
    java -version

    Next you Need to know the Path to the Java JDK.

    If you Just Do Not Know How Try:

    locate bin/java | grep jdk

    If Java JDK is Not Installed then:

    Install Oracle JDK for Debian
  6. Setup Maven3 Path and Environment Variables
    nano ~/.bashrc

    Insert Something Like:

    export M3_HOME=/opt/apache-maven-3.0.4
    export M3=$M3_HOME/bin
    export PATH=$M3:$PATH
    export JAVA_HOME=
    export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH

    Load New .bashrc SetUp

  7. Test Maven3 Installation
    mvn -version

    If you Get the Maven Version the Apache Maven3 has been Successfully Installed on Your Debian Linux Lxde :)
