Installing libtiff4 on Mint 18.x

Open a Shell Terminal emulator window

Else Add the Ubuntu Precise Extra Packages Repo.
sudo su
If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo
echo 'deb [trusted=yes] http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise main universe' >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/extra.list
apt-get update
Installing libtiff4 for Mint 18.x.
apt-get install libtiff4 libtiff4-dev
(Optional)Disabling the Mint Extra Apt Repo.
rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/extra.list
apt-get update
