The Ubuntu or Debian Release will Works also on others GNU/Linux Systems. -
Then Extract into /tmp Directory
If it does Not Open automatically then Double-Click on File Manager:
Or from Command Line:tar xvzf ~/Downloads/FreeFileSync*.tar.gz -C /tmp/

Next Relocate FreeFileSync.
sudo mv /tmp/FreeFileSync* /opt/FreeFileSync
Set the SuperUser as Owner with:
sudo chown -R root:root /opt/FreeFileSync

Again Make a SymLink for Easy Launching.
sudo ln -s /opt/FreeFileSync/FreeFileSync /usr/local/bin/FreeFileSync

Finally, Launch & Enjoy FreeFileSync ;)
From Shell with:FreeFileSync
