Setting Up

    sudo apt install gcc libtool libssl-dev libc-dev 
    libjpeg-turbo8-dev libpng12-dev libtiff5-dev cups

    Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.

  2. 3. Downloading GutenPrint

    Download GutenPrint Source for Linux

    GutenPrint tar.xz Source

    Else to Install the GutenPrint as is from Apt Repo see: Package Setup

  3. 3. Extracting GutenPrint

    Then Extract into /tmp
    Possibly, Double-Click/Right-Click to open with Archive Manager:

    Finally, to Install Gutenprint on Mint Linux
    First, access the Target

    cd /tmp/gutenprint*

    Configure the Source:

    ./configure

    Make it:

    make clean
    make

    Last, to install it issue:

    sudo make install

    The Installation will be Quickly Achieved in about 5 Minutes.
