How to Install Nexcloud Client on MX Gnu/Linux

Setting Up

  1. 2. Downloading Nexcloud Client

    Download Nexcloud Client for MX GNU/Linux

    Get Nexcloud Client .AppImage for Linux
  2. 3. Setting Permissions

    This Step is usually Needed to Give Ececution Permission to the User
    First, Access the Target, usually in the Downloads folder:
    (But if downloaded with Firefox it can be instead into /tmp/mozilla*)

    cd && cd Downloads

    To Check that there is run:

    ls . | Nextcloud

    And Give Execution Permission:

    chmod +x Nextcloud*.AppImage
  3. 4. Setting Up Nexcloud Client

    (Optional because you can simply Run AppImages from Anywhere…)
    So Now, if you wanna Set up Nexcloud Client on MX Linux
    Make a Folder to Hold the AppImages with:

    mkdir $HOME/appImages

    And finally Switch Nexcloud Client into the Location:

    mv ~/Downloads/Nextcloud*.AppImage ~/appImages
