Step by step – Canon MG3640 Driver Installation on Ubuntu 20.04

2. 2. Installing Dependencies

   Installing Required Package.

   sudo apt update && sudo apt install libtiff5

3. 3. Downloading

   Download Canon MG3640 Printer Linux Driver

   Canon MG3640 .deb Driver

   Canon MG3640 Drivers

   Select the MG3640 Series Printers .deb Driver.
   And Possibly a Custom Language.

   If you are using Firefox then on Prompt Choose “Open with Archive Manager”:

   

   Or After try to Select the Package by the Downloads Button on Top Panel:

   

   Instead, on Google-Chrome simply try to Choose the Package on the Bottom Panel:

4. 3. Extracting Canon MG3640 Driver

   And Extract Archive into the /tmp directory.

5. 4. Installing Canon MG3640 Driver

   Now to Install Canon MG3640 Printer Driver
   Access the Target location:

   cd /tmp/cnijfilter*

   Run the Installation script:

   sudo ./install.sh

   You could be asked to Connect and Turn On the Printer…

   Now in case of Issue then try first to Install the Packages:

   cd packages

   Then on 64-bit Systems:

   sudo gdebi ./*amd64.deb

   Instead for 32-bit Systems:

   sudo gdebi ./*i386.deb
