How to Install Kernel without Internet on Fedora 30

Installing

  1. 1. Downloading Kernel

    So Download Kernel Packages
    Download Kernel for Fedora 30 GNU/Linux

    Get Kernel .rpm Packages
    For the actual Release see: Fedora 30 Repo.
    Or eventually find out the newest Releases in: Fedora 30 Updates.

    Grab kernel, kernel-core and kernel-modules Rpm Packages.

  2. 2. Launching Terminal

  3. Open a Shell Session
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

  4. 3. Installing Kernel Offline

    Then to Set up the Linux Kernel Offline on Fedora
    First, access the Target USB Driver or Location:

    cd /[path/2/kernel]

    To Check the Package is there:

    ls | grep kernel

    The grep Command Refine the output List showing only the entries Matching the Keyword.
    Then simply play:

    sudo dnf install ./kernel*.rpm

    Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.
