    Now to Install tgz Package on Slackware
    Use:

    sudo su
    upgradepkg --install-new [MYCOOLPACK].tgz

    When –install-new is specified, the behavior is modified to install new packages in addition to upgrading existing ones.
    So for instance:

    sudo su
    upgradepkg --install-new cowsay*.tgz

  2. 3. Removing tgz Package

    Finally, to Uninstall tgz Packages from Slackware
    You have simply to use the default Package Manager so:

    slackpkg remove [MYCOOLPACK]

    And so for instance:

    slackpkg remove cowsay
