2. Enabling Flatpak Repo
Then to Add Flatpak Repository for Lubuntu
Execute:sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alexlarsson/flatpak
And then to Refresh Apt Repos:
sudo apt update
Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.And if you Get a Missing Repo Issue then Amend it Manually with:
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*flatpak*.list
For instance changing ‘hirsute’ in ‘focal’!
Ctrl+x to Save & Exit from nano Editor. -
3. Installing Flatpak
Finally, to Install Flatpak for Lubuntu Bionic
Simply play:sudo apt install flatpak
Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.
Again for the Desktop integration run:sudo apt install gnome-software-plugin-flatpak
And with this latest setup on GNOME based you’ll be able to Install Flatpak Apps just Double-clicking on the downloaded flatpakref File.
