Installing

  1. 2. Downloading Sweet Home 3D

    Download Sweet Home 3D for Pop!_OS GNU/Linux

    Sweet Home 3D Pop!_OS

    If possible Select directly “Open with Archive Manager”!

  2. 3. Extracting Sweet Home 3D

    Then Extract into /tmp Directory
    If it does Not Open automatically then Double-Click on File Manager:

    Or from Command Line:

    tar xvzf SweetHome3D*.tgz -C /tmp/

  3. 4. Installing Sweet Home 3D

    Next Set SuperUser as Owner
    Simply with:

    sudo chown -R root:root /tmp/SweetHome3D*

    Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
    If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.

    And to Relocate Contents play:

    sudo mv /tmp/SweetHome3D* /opt/SweetHome3D

    Check Destination Folder’s Contents:

    ls /opt/SweetHome3D

    Last, Make a SymLink for Easy Launching:

    sudo ln -s /opt/SweetHome3D/SweetHome3D /usr/local/bin/SweetHome3D
