2. 2. Downloading AMDGPU Pro

   Download AMDGPU for Red Hat GNU/Linux

   Get AMDGPU tar.xz for Red Hat Linux 8

   AMDGPU for Red Hat Linux

   If possible Select directly “Open with Archive Manager”!

3. 3. Extracting AMDGPU Pro Archive

   Then Extract AMDGPU tar.xz into /tmp Directory
   If it does Not Open automatically then Double-Click on File Manager:

   
   Or from Command Line:

   tar xvf ~/Downloads/amdgpu-pro*.tar.xz -C /tmp/

4. 4. Upgrading System

   Now Upgrade Red Hat Linux 8 System
   Play:

   sudo dnf upgrade

   Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
   If Got “User is Not in Sudoers file” then see: How to Enable sudo.
   And the to Reboot:

   sudo reboot

5. 5. Installing AMDGPU-Pro

   Now to Install AMDGPU-PRO on Red Hat Linux
   First, possibly remove any possible other existing AMD Driver with:

   sudo dnf remove *amdgpu*

   Next to Set up the Proprietary AMDGPU Pro Version execute:

   /tmp/amdgpu*/amdgpu-pro-install -y

   Again for the Pro with OpenCL Support:

   /tmp/amdgpu*/amdgpu-pro-install --opencl=pal,legacy -y

   Instead, for the OpenCL Headless variant do:

   /tmp/amdgpu*/amdgpu-pro-install --opencl=pal,legacy -y --headless

   Last, for the Open-Source alternative play:

   /tmp/amdgpu*/amdgpu-install -y

   Finally, to load it reboot with:

   sudo reboot
