GNU/Linux Parrot Installing Software on Command Line – QuickStart Guide
Hi! This tutorial will guide you step-by-step on How to Install Programs in Parrot OS Home/Security GNU/Linux Using Terminal.
The Parrot Command Line is a Text Interface to execute Instructions for your Computer.
Often referred to as the Shell, Terminal, Console, Prompt, CLI or various other names.
And at the Start it can give the appearance of being Complex and Confusing to use.
So if you are a Beginner, first I strongly recommends you to take a little practice by following the below linked Terminal Tutorial.
There are several ways of Installing Software on the CLI, but here I limit to shows you the Essential ones:
- Install Packages from the Official Parrot Repository
- Install Downloaded .deb Packages
The Parrot Repository is a Huge Storage including about 60000 Packages and Apps ready to be Easily Installed.

How to QuickStart with Command Line on Parrot GNU/Linux:
First Update the Apt Repo Sources with:
sudo apt update
Authenticate with the User Admin Pass.
