Fedora Yum Error Cannot Retrieve Repository Metadata XML

Take the Time to Carefully follow these Troubleshooting…

  1. This Error Seems to depend from a wrong Protocol Setting inside the Repo File.
    To Fix it you need to Edit some Repo Files inside /etc/yum.repos.d:

    nano /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo

    And change mirrorlist from https to http so the line will look like:

    mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=fedora-$releaserver&arch;=$basesearch

    To check if it has been Fixed after try:

    yum repolist

    If you still find an Error in another Repos you need to Repeat this procedure for each Repo File is giving that Error…
