  1. Download Selenium RC:

    Selenium RC Server .jar

  2. Open a Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

  3. Check if Java JDK is Installed

    java -version

    Install Sun JDK for Oracle-Linux

  4. Start Selenium Server

    cd /selenium-server*.jar
    java -jar selenium-server-standalone-2.25.0.jar

    Then the Selenium Server will Listen by Default for the Selenium Client on the 4444 Port.
