  1. Download Latest SeaMonkey Linux Stable Release.

    Pick SeaMonkey in Linux-i686 tar.bz2

  • Open Terminal Window
    (Press “Enter” to Execute Commands)

  • Extract SeaMonkey Archive 

    cd /toseamonkey>/
    sudo su -c "tar xvf seamonkey*.tar.bz2"

  • Relocate SeaMonkey 

    sudo su -c "mv /tmp/seamonkey* /opt"

    Create a Symlink:

    sudo su -c "ln -s /opt/seamonkey*/seamonkey /usr/local/bin/seamonkey"

  • Finally, to Launch SeaMonkey

    From Terminal:

    seamonkey
