Hi! This Tip Try to Solve Cannot Login with Correct Password in Xubuntu GNU/Linux Desktop.

Here I show also the eventual Solution to gain access by setting up the SliM Display Manager.

First, follow instructions to Boot System in Recovery Mode with Networking.

1. 1. Booting in Recovery Mode

2. 2. Resetting X Credential

   Now try to Delete the X Auth Config File
   First, run:

   rm /root/.Xautority

   And also for your User with:

   rm /home/[MYUSER]/.Xautority

   Then try to reboot and Login:

   reboot
